ITI China Congress 2023: high attendance and success!

The ITI China Congress 2023 was successfully held from December 9 to 10 at the Xiamen International Conference Center in China. This grand event, a triennial academic gathering, attracted more than 1300 dental professionals from all over the country.

The ITI China Congress has always provided a platform for innovative ideas and academic exchange. We gather together, we look forward, and together we envision a new chapter for the future of oral and dental science. The topic of the ITI China Congress 2023 was Evidence-Based, Integration, Innovation — Immediate-Driven, Long-Term Stability.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Zhonghao Liu from Yantai Stomatological Hospital with wonderful speeches delivered by Prof. Yiqun Wu from the Ninth People’s Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Prof. Yucheng Su from Peking Union Medical College Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Vice President Xinwang Huang from DFSA. Meanwhile, Philippe Praz the Consul General of Switzerland in Guangzhou brought blessings to the conference through a video message.

During the two days we welcomed more than 60 outstanding national speakers and moderators and 9 international speakers (online and onsite) who presented the latest research achievements in oral medicine to the participants. The speakers and moderators discussed the future of the industry, shared knowledge, and established connections. A total of 10 attractive sessions with four main topics:

In the future, the ITI Section China will continue to deepen its efforts in China, bringing advanced international experience and concepts in oral implantology to its professionals! We are already looking forward to the next ITI China Congress!

Extra-oral photogrammetry (EPG) is emerging as a reliable alternative to intra-oral scanning for full-arch implant impressions. While IOS performs well in short spans, its accuracy decreases in edentulous arches due to stitching errors and lack of reference points.

EPG overcomes these limitations by capturing implant positions through multi-angle imaging, delivering highly precise 3D data without the need for stitching. However, as it does not record soft tissue, it must be combined with an intra-oral scan to enable complete prosthetic design.
